Wow! I just took an Introduction to the Internet class through Cardinal Stritch. How hard could it be...I use the Internet every day. No problem. Little did I know that I had so much to learn. Words I had never heard before were being thrown around so quickly that I felt new compassion for my EEN students who struggle with language used daily in their high school classes. It's not fun to feel uncertainty, confusion, and that the entire class is zooming past you as you travel at glacier speed. However, by the end of the second night I was starting to "get it" and found the class to be of great benefit. I could link the new vocabulary to something I previously learned and could visualize the concepts....now, I just need to start putting these neat new tools to use!
